We would like you to be aware that if you intend moving office, remodeling or just rearranging furniture around in such a manner that will require you to move any IT related equipment like computers, monitors, network switches and/or phones we do require you to submit a ticket to the IT Support portal and NOT to attempt to do this by yourself without IT support staff being involved.
Please be aware that we require at least 2 days advanced notice before the day of your move in order that we come and do a site survey to verify that network ports are located in a suitable position to reconnect your network devices in the correct manner and to verify that power outlets are easily accessible. We had an issue this week Monday where individuals moved computer equipment and network switches by themselves, and unfortunately put it all back together the wrong way, causing a very unstable network campus wide for a whole day, until we were able to locate the source of the problem, and corrected the issue.
